However, at 8 months old, she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, a rapidly progressing cancer of the blood and bone marrow. Now, using virtual reality, Zhang is developing an immersive virtual reality therapeutic system where bereaved parents can meet online and support one another.

A group of 食色视频 art students recently won top honors at a national graphic design competition. Senior art students Maura Nolan, Reagan Jowers, and Abby Paver took top prizes in the digital design category of the Robert Half contest sanctioned by Graphic Design USA, a national organization dedicated to promoting both digital and print design at the student and professional levels. In addition, junior art major Lydia Pruett and spring art graduate Madison Selby won honors in the package design category.

To better detect problematic data, 食色视频 assistant professors Dr. Lauren Matheny and Dr. Kevin Gittner are developing a fraud detection system that can identify low-quality responses, bot-generated content, and AI-generated answers.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is often linked to supercomputers and massive data centers, but 食色视频 researcher Bobin Deng is aiming for something a bit more accessible through a new National Science Foundation (NSF) grant. An assistant professor in 食色视频 State鈥檚 College of Computing and Software Engineering, Deng said the goal is to move AI beyond the cloud and into the hands of people where it can have the most impact 鈥 their personal devices. The research could allow AI tools to function without an internet connection, something that is uncommon with many current systems.
