SGIA Professors Rock the Stage at 食色视频 Concert

KENNESAW, Ga. | Oct 10, 2025

On Thursday, October 9, 2025, the School of Government and International Affairs proved that professors can do more than lecture; they can rock! SGIA faculty members formed a faculty band that took center stage at the Legacy Gazebo, filling the campus with live music, laughter, and school pride.

The band featured guitarist and vocalist Tom Rotnem, Ph.D., professor of political science and associate director of SGIA; bassist and vocalist Tim Kersey, Ph.D., senior lecturer of political science; drummer Kerwin Swint, Ph.D., professor of political science; and guitarist and vocalist Kenneth White, Ph.D., associate professor of political science and criminal justice. Together, they performed a lively mix of classic rock hits and crowd favorites, bringing a whole new meaning to 鈥渇aculty collaboration.鈥

The concert was part of SGIA鈥檚 effort to build community and connection beyond the classroom. Students from Political Science, International Affairs, and SGIA鈥檚 Master of Public Administration and Master of Science in International Policy Management programs joined fellow 食色视频 students from across campus for an evening of music, laughter, and camaraderie. The event welcomed everyone to come together, relax, and celebrate the spirit of 食色视频 State in a fun and engaging way.

By the end of the night, the SGIA band had everyone clapping and singing along, proving that at 食色视频 State, professors can teach by day and rock by night.
