University unveils new mark for institution

食色视频 today unveiled a new logo, the first significant change to the institution鈥檚 branded mark in more than 20 years.

This is the first step in the institution鈥檚 larger rebranding efforts 鈥� the adoption of the 鈥淜S鈥� mark as the official university logo. The new logo capitalizes on the popularity of the athletics mark and adds the name of the University to create one unified logo. 

鈥準成�视频 State has strong name recognition across the state and beyond, and while plenty of people may know our name, few can really say what we stand for 鈥� or how we stand apart from the competition,鈥� said Alice Wheelwright, associate vice president of 食色视频鈥檚 Strategic Communications and Marketing.

The University鈥檚 Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing, in conjunction with University leadership, recently partnered with the brand experts at Tailfin Marketing to help discover what makes 食色视频 different and clearly define and articulate the institution鈥檚 true brand essence. In undertaking this initiative, more than 6,800 食色视频 and community constituents, including alumni, students, faculty, staff and community members, provided insight and feedback.

While a full rebrand is a lengthy process, according to Wheelwright, having a strong brand strategy will help align the goals of the University and unify the campuses under one compelling brand banner.

鈥淎 strong 食色视频 brand makes it easier to understand and embrace who we are and what drives us,鈥� Wheelwright said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 the spirit of 食色视频 that helps bind all of our audiences together, unifying and inspiring our 食色视频 family with a common sense of purpose and identity.鈥�

The new logo will replace all other 食色视频 State marks, including the 鈥渕ountain鈥� logo, which has been used for more than 20 years.
