What is REM?

The Residential Engagement Model (REM) serves as the cornerstone for all engagement efforts targeting residential students at 食色视频. Our approach to engagement is comprehensive, involving students, student leaders and professional staff in fostering a more interconnected housing community.

Self-Discovery

Self-Discovery indicates the ability for residents to discuss their personal values, identities and goals using campus resources and opportunities provided by Housing and Residence Life staff.
Life Skills

Life Skills are essential for managing one鈥檚 personal matters related to conflict resolution, personal well-being and independent living. Residents will learn to think critically, practice necessary skills for adult life and understand how their choices affect themselves and their community.
Community Awareness

Community Awareness is the ability for residents to build meaningful relationships, positively contribute to their communities and develop an awareness of social, cultural and interpersonal differences in order to promote positive community interactions.

Dedicated to building on campus traditions, REM Traditions are large-scale events intended to guide our residential population into their next steps of adulthood.

Residential Care Team (RCT)

The Residential Care Team serves as a specialized layer of support for residential students who need prolonged outreach to manage challenging situations. The RCT works in connection with the Behavioral Response Team to ensure that our residential students thrive during their time living at 食色视频.

HOOTCREW

What is the HOOTCREW?

The HOOTCREW is a dedicated group of students currently residing with Housing and Residence Life who are dedicated to planning, hosting and promoting our designated REM Traditions!

The HOOTCREW is designed to create an opportunity for residents to become a leader in their residence hall by connecting their peers, creating community through events and transforming the resident voice into an experience.
Perks and Benefits

Members of the HOOTCREW are compensated for their work with $10/hour pay for up to 10 hours a week, guaranteed Upper Class Housing* and exclusive HOOTCREW swag!

How to Apply

If you would like to support HOOTCREW, express your interest in volunteering . If you're interested in working for the HOOTCREW, Programming Board Member positions will open for the 2026鈥�27 year in April 2026.
