Welcome to the 食色视频 High School Model United Nations (HSMUN) Conference website. Started in 1986, HSMUN gathers the best students from high schools in the Southeast United States to come to 食色视频 State and participate in a Model UN. With 10 committees and over 180 potential member states addressing a wide range of international dilemmas, our conference provides opportunity for students of all interests to participate in topics that are engaging and relevant. We look forward to watching our participants partake in diplomatic discussions, problem solving, negotiation, and resolution writing. All those attending will have the opportunity to cultivate connections at 食色视频, make friends from around the Southeast, and engage in discussions concerning international issues and global concerns. All staff members at the 食色视频 State University High School Model United Nations look forward to facilitating active participation in international interests, encouraging our delegates to pursue their goals, and to understand the inner working of international institutions and diplomatic reasoning.

Registration for the 2026 High School Model UN is now open!

To secure the early registration rate, please send your registration form by December 19th to mhauser1@kennesaw.edu.

Registration will close on January 16th, 2026, OR whenever conference capacity is reached.

Registration fees should be sent to the 食色视频 mailing address on the form by February 13th.

Important Information 

Our two-day conference will begin on Friday, February 27th and will conclude on Saturday, February 28th. Please see our 2025 schedule for reference. 

Background Guides for the 2026 conference will be available by the end of this year.  These will be found below in Delegate Preparation.

Meals During the Conference

Participants will have access to the many restaurants in the 食色视频 Student Center on Friday, February 27th.  All Student Center restaurants will be closed on Saturday, February, 28th. Participants have the option of dining at the 食色视频 Commons Dining Hall at a cost of $12 per person.  This cost must be prepaid in cash or check with conference staff; we would highly appreciate that this cost be paid before March 1st.  Participants are also welcome to dine at High Point Cafe, located on campus inside the Summit Residence Hall, or they can arrange their own lunch plans. 

Accommodation Near Campus

We plan to offer a group rate at a nearby hotel. Please check back for updates. 

 

Position Papers 

Position papers should be submitted as .docx files, not .pdfs. Do not email folders, be sure to include the individual documents. Google docs can be accepted so long as they are made accessible to anyone with a link.

Completed position papers should be submitted to ksuhsmun2526@gmail.com by Wednesday, February 18th 2026 at 11:59pm to be considered on time and eligible for awards.

Required Conference Forms

The Board of Regents (BOR) of the University System of Georgia has a new policy (12.9) regarding University Programs that serve minors. Since our HSMUN conference does serve minors, we are now required to have additional documentation for students participating in the conference. Please be sure that the following forms are completed for all students you are bringing to the conference. Students will be required to submit all of these forms in order to be able to participate in the conference. We apologize for any additional inconvenience this may cause, but we must require these forms per the BOR policy. 

These forms should be completed, scanned, and emailed to Dr. Megan Hauser for each participating student.

  • All position papers for your school must be sent collectively, in one email. All position papers must be saved and labeled properly. Failure to do so will result in a paper not being graded.
