Career and Academic Opportunities

The Master of Arts in Professional Writing degree prepares candidates for a wide variety of writing-related positions in film/tv writing as well as other creative, editing, and writing and/or content-creation focused careers.

Bachelor of Science in Media and Entertainment students pursuing a Double Owl with the Norman J Radow College of the Humanities and Social Sciences Master of Arts in Professional Writing will be equipped with more in-depth knowledge and experience to pursue advanced post-graduate studies and career opportunities than those afforded with a solitary BS. This path should be particularly appealing to students wishing to pursue writing in film/television and other streaming venues, as well as web-based content creation. It will also introduce a variety of other possible careers in writing along with the professional tools to fundraise and market in these arenas.

Completion of the Double Owl uniquely positions students to apply for 食色视频鈥檚 MAPW program. Many MAPW graduates pursue terminal degrees at such institutions as Arizona State University, Georgia State University, Miami University-Oxford Ohio, Colorado State University, University of Georgia, Union University, Mercer University, 食色视频, and Columbus State University.
