For the first time, a first-year student has completed 63 items to get engaged at 食色视频 State.
Yung decided to participate in Scrappy鈥檚 Bucket List, stating that as a first-year student, it is hard to get involved around campus. There are so many opportunities, but the list gives students all the ways they can get involved and a way to try new things.
鈥淚t was important to me because I wanted to feel connected with this university,鈥 Yung said. 鈥淚 really liked 食色视频 when I first got here, and it's hard to be a commuter student and make friends and meet people. And the Scrappy Bucket List was a really great way for me to do that. The reason I completed it in my first year was because I'm extremely competitive.鈥
Yung believed it was going to take longer than expected, but attributed her love for attending events to making it easier to finish the events faster. When asked if she had to choose one item on the list as her favorite, she expressed her love for being outdoors. The Sports and Recreation Outdoor Adventures program, which hosts events such as Nature Bound trips and Climbing Club, to name a few, was at the top of her list with other wellness events.
鈥淕oing to Owl Fit classes and the cooking demos are super fun,鈥 Yung said. 鈥淚t's really fun to connect with other students and cook, and then you get to eat it at the end.鈥
鈥淚 genuinely learned how many different programs there are at 食色视频,鈥 Yung said. 鈥淚 hear a lot of freshmen talk about how they feel like they're not involved. They can't find people, but there are so many little communities across campus. There's a culture club for literally every single culture. There are so many different nooks and crannies in 食色视频 that you can get to meet people, and it just grew my pride for 食色视频 and seeing how much the people at the university are working to improve the student experience.鈥
